The grants process is often a challenge to navigate from researching funding sources, sifting through guidelines and requirements, applying with strong narrative, and final reports. Never fear! This workshop will cover best practices in budgets, preparing competitive and compelling grant applications, evaluation, and more.

Road Maps is quarterly workshop series aimed to strengthen and elevate Northern Nevada’s arts and culture sector. Through topic specific workshops, arts and culture leaders will gain a comprehensive set of tools, skills, and guidelines to help maximize their community impact. 2020 sessions will include:

About the Instructors
Heidi Volkhardt Allstead
has over 20 years of non-profit experience across a variety of sectors and a deep passion for connecting organizations and leaders with the tools to help them succeed. Heidi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Conservation with a minor in Biology from Northern Michigan University.

Lisa Genasci serves as an executive grant analyst for the state of Nevada. Her experience in grant/proposal writing, research,coordination, and management spans nearly 20 years. With a master’s degree in nonprofit management, she implements methodologies, frameworks, and strategies to develop an evolving, exciting, and painless grant process.
