Get to know other state humanities council staff from around the nation! Join Nevada Humanities on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 12:00 pm PT for a conversation with Chris Elliott, programs coordinator at Arizona Humanities. During this livestreamed event, we will discuss the importance of the arts and humanities, public humanities programming in Arizona, and more. The stream will begin with gameplay of the role-playing musical game Stray Gods and conclude with a conversation and audience Q&A.

Chris Elliott is a passionate, enthusiastic, and animated creative. Originally from New Jersey, he received his B.A. in Sociology and Music with a concentration in Health and Medicine from Goucher College, and his M.M. in Musical Theatre from ASU. Previously, he served as a Public Ally member for the Arizona Commission on the Arts where he aided in research, grants, and communications. Currently, he is the Programs Coordinator at Arizona Humanities. At Arizona Humanities, he has coordinated the Spark! Places of Innovation Smithsonian exhibition in Arizona, organized Arizona Humanities first Blue Corn Festival, and leads the 30+ yearlong AZ Speaks program. As an artist in Arizona, he has performed at The Phoenix Theatre Company, Hale Centre TheaterSouthwest Shakespeare Company, and more. Elliott constantly seeks ways to use his gifts and knowledge to foster enjoyable arts, culture, and humanities experiences for others.
